How do you release stuff when you are very low income? I don't like to get rid of stuff that I may need later because I can not afford to purchase.

    • Jenny Layton says:

Great question, Cynthia. The only time to release is when you can feel that it takes up more energy to keep it around than it does to let it go. If you truly want to keep the stuff, don't feel pressure to release it! Simply designate an out-of-the-way storage space to keep it until it is needed. But be honest with yourself. If you are operating out of a scarcity mentality, meaning that you are motivated by fear that you won't have what you need when you need it, then you might want to experiment with the concept that "the space for what you want is filled up with what you've already settled for insead." Another red flag that you are operating in scarcity mentality is if you begrudge the items you are storing, or wish you could use the space for something else. If you suspect that this might be the case, then start small. Let go of a few things that have value (though don't presently have value to you) and be very aware of what comes into your space in the next few days or weeks, or even month. You will find that something you have been wanting will show up. It isn't always an exact exchange; it could be something emotional, physical, or within a relationship. The key is to be aware and notice it, so you can the confidence to repeat it. This is abundance living, and you will become a huge fan of it!
